Why Do We Live Here?

Singapore is a sunny, tropical island in Southeast Asia, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Singapore is situated near the equator and has a tropical climate, with relatively high and uniform temperatures, abundant rainfall, and high humidity throughout the year. The climate of Singapore is characterized by two monsoon seasons separated by inter-monsoonal periods. Singapore, a city-state located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Located in Southeast Asia, Singapore consists of one 30-mile-long island (called Pulau Ujong, or mainland Singapore) surrounded by 62 smaller islands. The country's neighbors include Malaysia to the north and Indonesia to the south.

The petroleum industry is one of Singapore's most significant industries. According to the Ministry of Commerce of China, Singapore is the world's third-largest refining center and a key hub for petroleum trading. Petroleum is a complex mixture of naturally occurring hydrocarbon compounds found in rock which has been formed over thousands of years by heat and pressure turning organic matter to oil and gas. Impurities such as sulfur, oxygen and nitrogen are common in petroleum. Currently, 90% of Singapore's electricity is powered by natural gas and the rest by oil. We use petroleum products to propel vehicles, to heat buildings, and to produce electricity.

Fruits produced in Singapore include durians, rambutans, and mangosteens, while edible fungus produced in the country include mushrooms. There are also farms in the country responsible for the production of eggs, vegetables, poultry, and pork. Because of Singapore’s weather, the fruit that needs a wet place could easily grow. However Singapore’s place was small and the food that was made by Singapore was less. So they needed to get food from other countries. Arable land refers to land that is suitable for growing crops. Singapore's waters are home to an astounding array of fish species, making it the perfect place for different types of fishermen! This is due to the unique mix of tropical and marine ecosystems, which allow such a wide range of fish habitats to be supportedTiny Singapore has gained global importance, transforming itself from a large fishing village to a bustling port with a high-tech focus. Recreational fishers fish for pleasure, sport, or to provide food for themselves, while commercial fishers fish for profit. Artisanal fishers use traditional, low-tech methods, for survival in third-world countries, and as a cultural heritage in other countries.

I might not really want to live in Singapore when I grow up. Singapore was a good country for fishing. But I don’t really like to eat fish. When I’m small I hate to go to the sea. But Singapore was a country that was surrounded by sea. If I can, I still want to go back to China. I like China’s food and things. When I was in China I liked to go to the mountains that China has. The mountains were good. At least I had concluded that I would like to live in China instead of Singapore.
