We live in the east suburb of Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a seaport city on the west coast of the United States in the Northern hemisphere. The climate here is mostly very mild and mellow. There are various greens and beautiful forests in Seattle. This city is located in an area which contains refined and clear water bodies like lakes and rivers. The spectacular view and ample amount of natural resources is why many people including my family live here.
First, Seattle’s temperate weather is perfect for a lot of people. The summers are not extremely hot and the winters are almost never too snowy. Seattle has some of the best summers, it will never be so hot that you can’t even go outdoors to go to the beach or go on a hike. You might never need to turn on the AC. Having minor snowing in the winter could be a convenience for many individuals. They don’t have to worry about being trapped in the house or being unable to drive their cars when snow piles up too high. Many people might think that Seattle is a rainy city, but actually its annual rainfall is less than Houston, New York and Atlanta. Seattle’s climate is always mild, it is never too late to go outside and play!
Second, there are abundant forests and lush evergreens in Seattle. You can reach Washington State’s three famous national parks including Mt. Rainier within an only two-hour drive. The breathtaking view of forests, mountains and grasslands catches many people’s eyes. Seattle’s evergreens contribute to its nickname “Emerald City”. Emerald City also echoes the nickname of the Washington States, “The Evergreen State” These nicknames directly come from the greenery and evergreen trees growing healthily in Seattle and Washington State. People all over the state can enjoy these wondrous views all the time, even in winter.
Finally, clear and purified water bodies could be largely found in Seattle and Washington State. More than 100 miles of freshwater and 50 miles of saltwater lie across the shoreline. One of the most well-known lakes in Seattle is Lake Washington. It is surrounded by more than 30 parks. People love the waterfront activities including paddle boarding, kayaking, boating and many more in the park. There is no need to worry about getting ill when swimming in these lakes, because the water quality is extremely good. Plentiful fish in the clear water could bring enjoyment to people who love fishing. Large amounts of salmon return upstream during the winter. This is more than enough for the fishers to fish!
Seattle is a wonderful place to live in. I would love to live here when I grow up. There are three reasons why I would choose to live in Seattle. The weather is never too extreme. I won’t have to waste a lot of energy to make myself stay warm or cool. Also, there are various greeneries and trees in this place, the astounding views attract me and many other people. Last but not least, Seattle’s pure waters are perfect for the waterfront activities that I love. The Washington States is a wonderful place to live in. I strongly recommend individuals to live here.
