Why do we learn about bears?

Bears are mammals with short tails, large size, strong bodies, and large jaws. They are born with white and brown fur and live in forests, mountains, and even icy places. Bears are wild animals, they live far from us. Why do we learn about bears? (3)

There are eight kinds of bears: Giant Panda,  Spectacled Bear, Sloth Bear, Sun Bear, Asian Black Bear, Polar Bear, Brown Bear, and American Black Bear. Bears have two kinds of fur. Some of their fur is short, and some is long. Their short fur keeps them warm. Their long fur keeps water away from their skin. (4)

Bears are similar to humans, they have a lot in common. First, bears are omnivores, just like humans. Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and animals. Bears eat honey, berries, leaves, and eggs. They also eat insects, fish, and other animals. Second, a bear family includes the Mother and the cubs. The mother bear takes care of the cubs and teaches them how to survive, humans are like that, too. (5)

We need to protect bears, they are part of nature, and we need to learn to take care of the environment so that wild animals won’t be extinct or in danger. We should not hunt bears because they have families, too. If the mother died, the cubs would be sad, and they would be hard to survive. (4)

In conclusion, bears are mammals. There are eight kinds of bears.  Bears are similar to humans,  bears are omnivores and have families, just like humans. We need to protect bears, they are part of nature, and they have families. (3)
