Why do People Need Pets?

The story The Perfect Pet written by Maggie Palatini, talks about a little girl called Elizabeth. She really wants to have a pet, but her parents won't let her. Elizabeth thinks a horse is a good pet, because she can ride it and feed it carrots and lumps of sugar, but her parents think the horse is too big and it eats too much, so no horse. And Elizabeth wants to have a dog, because she can feed it treats, teach it tricks and play fetch with it, but her parents think the dog is so loud and will jump on the furniture. Elizabeth finds out maybe a cat can be her pet, but whatever the cat can curl, lick plates, but the parents don't like cats, so cross kitty. There is not a perfect pet in the home that she can think of, but she has found a perfect pet last, a bug Doug, it is perfect. 

Pets can make people happy when they are upset or angry. People will be upset or angry when something bad happens, like a very difficult test, someone does something bad to you, your best friend goes to another city ……. If you have a pet dog or cat, it can make you feel better like licking you, hugging you or other ways to make you better. My friend has a cat, and one time she is very upset because her mother is angry at him so she cries in the bedroom, and her cat goes to the bedroom and walks in her lap, after the comfort of her cat, she feels better. Your pet can comfort you when you are unhappy. 

People can also make pets happy. Your pets will be very upset because of missing its family, most pet is lived in the pets store for the people to make then alive, so, it separate with its mother when it is very small. So if people buy it, it can not only make people happy, people can also make pets happy by giving it treats and playing with it and buying it toys and taking it outside to play. My friend, who has a cat, usually makes her cat happy, she plays with it using a cat treating stick made by herself, and she always gives it treats, every time she goes out traveling, there must be the sound of meow meow. Having a pet is to make it happy. 

Having pets is also to make the relationship between people and animals better. Most scientists think people are from animals, and we all live on earth and share the place with other species. We need pets not only to make others happy, we need to make relationships with others too. Dogs are faithful friends with people, because we have helped dogs alive, and the reward from dogs is to make you happy. My friend, whose family has a dog, and her family very very much likes dogs, and her dog likes her very much too, and every time she goes to the park, her dog knows many dogs, and that makes a shy person a friend. Relationships between people and animals can be better by having a pet. 

In conclusion, this story is very good. It tells us why people need pets for many reasons only in a story about a girl, called Elizabeth, who wants a pet, but her parents don't let. She wants a horse, they think its too big and eat too much, a dog too, they think a dog is loud, and there can’t be a cat too, they think cat Juno on furniture, poops everywhere …….so there aren’t a good pet can be in home that Elizabeth can think of, wait a bug, Doug, at last, she has a perfect pet, a bug. People need pets because pets can make people happy when they are upset or angry, people can also make pets happy and lastly, Having pets is also to make the relationship between people and animals better. This book is very good, read it!
