What is a resource? Well, a resource is basically things that we need in order to survive or live. For example, there are natural resources, human resources, and Capital resources. Natural resources are basically something that is found by nature and is valuable to humans like gold, food, water, and etc. These resources are essential for humans in order to survive. Human resources are basically people that hold jobs like fisherman and all types of others. They are useful because they provide humans with lots of stuff like food. Lastly Capital resources are basically tools, ships or even buildings for humans to work easier. These are basically all three of the most essential resources.
Why do organisms sometimes have to compete for resources? Well there are three reasons, they need water, food, and shelter but sometimes there is not enough. First Organisms need to fight for water because there is not enough water for everyone and if organisms don’t compete for it some of them would die. Also water is one of the most important resources as living organisms mostly need water. Second, organisms need to compete within each other because there is not enough food. When any living organisms doesn't have any food, shelter or water they become weaker and die, and food is one of the most important things for them for survival. Lastly, living organisms compete for shelter because sometimes there is not enough space for everyone to stay.
How do plants compete for resources? Well the first way is root competition, plants compete for water and nutrients by sending their roots into the surroundings, they try and send their roots wider in order to get more water and nutrients then the other plants. Second, there is leaf competition, plants compete for sunlight by shading each other and growing taller, the taller plant would get more sunlight. Lastly there is seed competition. Plants compete for space by dispersing their seeds in areas where there is little competition from other plants. On the other hand though, animals compete for resources by fighting. They would fight in order to get the resources they need and the weaker ones would have less resources.
Well since the resource is such a problem, what can be a solution. I think the problem is that humans take too much space and this makes it uneven, so I think in order to make this even we need to have a balance, humans should not build more buildings and also watch out. That means that when humans want to cut trees they should first see if an animal is there or not. Then if there are any animals do not cut the tree. This would prevent competition in shelter. Also humans should not take away all the space because animals wouldn’t have enough and would die because they would not have enough resources.

Since resource is such a problem then the solution would be to have a balance.
