All animals need to adapt in order to survive. When an animal or plant adapts, it changes to match its environment. There are two main ways to adapt: physical adaptation and behavioral adaptation. Physical adaptation is when one's body changes so that one can survive. Its fur might change, or its body, ears, tail... any part of the body. Even plants can have physical adaptations; plants might have thorns to warn animals to stay well away from them. A behavioral adaptation is when one changes one's behavior in order to survive. A diurnal animal might adapt to a nocturnal to get more food. These two adaptations are useful for anyone, anything.
There are many types of physical adaptation, for example, zebras have stripes of white and black. The black stripes help the zebras stay warm in winter, and the white one helps them stay cool in summer. Polar bears have thick fur, but the fur is transparent. There are so many of them, that is what makes them look white. The light of the sun also hits off every fur, which not only makes their fur white but makes the bears warm, this even works in water. Cheetahs have small heads and strong, fit muscles that help them run fast, and during the hunt, their head doesn't move here or there, so they can always have an eye on their prey. Jaguars have a mirror behind their eyes, so their eyes can reflect light, and they can see in the dark. Forest trees live close together, and they might fight over the littlest patch of sunlight or water, so some trees grow very tall, taller than the other trees, that way, no sunlight will be taken from very tall trees. Forest fires destroy forests, but the tall trees adapted to have very thick bark, which the fire can't get through, that way, the tree survives.
There are also many types of behavioral adaptation, for example, salmons adapt, they learn to jump high in the air and jump over the waterfalls, that way, they can succeed in laying their eggs. Lions adapt to live in pride, and they hunt together and take care of cubs together, which helps them succeed more easily than alone. Many animals dig burrows to survive in the winter, like snakes, they will freeze without the warmth of the underground. The orcas eat great white sharks. At first, it's difficult even if they hunt in groups. They adapt by flipping the sharks (these sharks can only breathe when they are swimming), and the sharks suffocate. And there's a special kind of toad that freezes itself, its blood turns cold, and it stops breathing, its heart stops beating, but in spring, it turns alive once more, adaptation helps the toads thrive instead of dying every winter.
I would like to choose physical adaptation if I had the chance because I could be as beautiful as a cheetah, I could run as fast as a cheetah, and my eyes would always be on what I wanted. I would be able to see clearly in the dark like it's light, like a leopard. I would have a strong bite, like jaguars. I would have the great sense of a croc or a tiger. I would not choose behavioral adaptation because I like my behaviors, and changing my behavior doesn't change anything about me, physical adaptation seems to be pretty cool. The physical adaptation soothes me more than behavioral adaptation.
In conclusion, behavioral and physical adaptations both have advantages and disadvantages. Each has its own use for plants and animals. Not many living things can survive without these amazing adaptations. Some animals adapt slowly to get used to it, some adapt very fast, and they can get used to it in an instant. Both adaptations are very good, but I prefer physical, from my imagination, it'll be of great use. While behavioral adaptations aren't as good, no matter how I change my behaviors, I'm just me. Besides behavioral adaptation might give me trouble with having friends, my behaviors might annoy them.
