The Pains of Growing Up

No one could stay in Neverland forever. I know you want to stay young, being protected by your sweet and gorgeous parents, no worries about money expense, and adults would always forgive you if you make a mistake when you exploit your cuteness. But if you were still a young kid, you would also have many disadvantages. For instance, when you want to express your own opinions and thoughts, the grownups would say, “ This kid has no worldly knowledge or useful insight.” Also, you might not be able to buy as many toys or clothes as you want because you don’t have enough money. And most of the time, you must have fidelity to your parents. You always have to obey them and be submissive. Even when you walk past the candy shop, your parents would make you feel guilty by just staring at the candies in the display window. Imagine, what would your life be like ... when you grow up?

As you become a parent, you will know how many predicaments you will face.

No personal spare time. Time management is a big issue and challenge for adults. They toil to do all the assignments, to call business partners, to discuss with other colleagues, and to sign contract sheets. Day by day, year after year, adults have no time to try to pursue their own dreams and hobbies. It is really distressing for them to accept not going towards their dreams.

Overwhelming pressure. It is a predicament for adults to handle the disquieting things in the work and life. Some of them may struggle on the money issue, and others may worry that they don’t have outstanding sales performance. Adults always fret about if they are not perfect or successful. It is not easy for them.

Stressful parenting. For parents, they wish that their child would grow healthily and happily; consequently, they do everything for their kids, such as doing chores, washing dishes, doing the laundry, teaching the children how to do stuff, planning the future, and lots more. Even sometimes, the child won’t even listen! Maybe they won’t even like the way of being told or taught by their parents! For parents, there are almost like a billion things to do for the child every day.

Being a adult is also a big hardship, they have bountiful pains of growing up. They need tons of efforts to handle their lives. As a child, you should always appreciate the care, the hard work, the love your family gives you. You should also respect them, and try to be compassionate to them. Remember, enjoy every moment of your life, even when you feel it’s painful right now.
