Everyone needs to grow up and that is painful sometimes.
People need to learn how to give up something so they can be better at something else when they grow up. Giving up is painful. For example, when you’re a child you might like to play tennis, soccer, swimming, karate, play piano, drawing and a lot more. When you are growing up, if you want to be good at something, you need to spend a lot of time to practice it a lot. However, you only have a limited amount of time. Therefore, you need to give up something that is less important to you and focus on the more important things. You might not like to give up some things but that is part of growing up.
You need to learn to accept the reality while striving for your best when you are older. For instance, something bad might happen but you still need to accept it and try to make things better. This is a painful process. People need to take what life gives them. When you are a little kid, you can just have a tantrum and whine. As you grow up, you need to painfully learn how to be stronger and tougher.
A person needs to take more responsibilities when he grows up. For example, you need to cook, wash clothes, take out the recycling and trash, take care of your children and parents, and earn money. After you’ve done all that, you might not have time to enjoy yourself. When you are are a kid, everything is for yourself. From being taken care of to taking care of yourself and others is a very painful but necessary process.
When you grow up, you need to learn how to get along with people even if you don’t like them which is painful sometimes. When you are a baby, if you don’t get along with people, you can cry and ask for help. If you are older, you will need to think about every possible way to get along with people especially your boss because you want your boss to be happy. If you cry when you are an adult, you might be laughed at by your fellow workers.
Growing up means you need to learn to be disciplined. This means that you need the show a controlled way of behavior and to follow the rules strictly. For example, you must finish the work before a deadline so you have a lot of pressure on yourself. You also need to listen to your boss. It is painful because you might need to listen to whom you do not agree with.
Growing up also means learning to be independent. When you are are a child, you can rely on your parents or teachers for help. When you are an adult, you need to be self-reliant and make your own choices. This is painful because when are you are young, other people help you to make the best choices and you can blame them if things go wrong. When you are a grown up, you need to make your own decisions which could be hard sometimes. You will need to take all the responsibilities to all the consequences of what you do.
There are many pains and challenges of growing up but we need to learn to overcome the struggles and difficulties of adulthood and grow up to be a focused, honest, responsible, friendly, disciplined, and independent person.
