This size difference made Gulliver a little bit thrilled about being able to do things that are normally impossible. The Lilliputians treat Gulliver like a celebrity because of how gigantic he is compared to them. This makes Gulliver naive about what the Lilliputians' real motivation is. Gulliver is then used by the Lilliputians to take down their enemies but Gulliver didn’t let the king turn it into their province. Gulliver realized how bad war could make someone so he stopped himself and resisted going onto the king's side and doing the wrong thing.
