The Achievements of Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was considered to be one of the greatest American publishers, inventors, scientists, and authors. In addition to this, Ben Franklin was also one of the founding fathers and helped to write the Declaration of Independence, as well the former speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Born on January 17, 1706, Ben Franklin led to many great inventions in history. One of his greatest and most well known inventions was the lighting rod. Others also included the library chair, an odometer that told how far he had ridden to deliver mail, and an arm that could grab books off high shelves. Ben Franklin also made many other contributions to the field of science. Though his present form is long gone, we still remember his great inventions to this day and how it benefited many people.

Ben Franklin invented many great things in his lifetime. As you might already know or suspect, the greatest one was the lightning rod. By inventing the lightning rod, he could attach these useful things to the roofs of houses and buildings to prevent them from getting on fire during thunderstorms, which happened quite a lot back then. Another one was the library chair. As Ben Franklin LOVED to read, he could have rooms in his house that were filled with high shelves that were filled top to bottom with books. This nifty little chair that could turn into a set of stairs just by pulling up the seat. If his legs ever got sore from climbing, he also invented a long wooden arm that could grab books off the top of high shelves for him to enjoy.

Benjamin Franklin also contributed many advanced ideas to the world. He was very observant as a kid, and was also very knowledgeable. The invention of the kite pulling him across his pond was based on his curiosity. His advanced ideas included one that could help and benefit people in the world, like the bifocals. He was very knowledgeable and even helped to write the Declaration of Independence, a contract document declaring the US to be independent of the British Crown, signed by the congressional representatives of the Thirteen Colonies, including Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams, and ratified on July 4, 1776. Another of his advanced ideas was also his lightning rod.

Benjamin Franklin, in addition to all his wonderful inventions, also achieved many achievements. Like helping to write the Declaration of Independence. Did he invent something during this time? No. This was more of an achievement. He helped to write this, but nothing was made or invented by him during this act. Another one of his achievements was the lighting rod. He achieved a goal to make the buildings not have to catch on fire as easily. This was also a major achievement in his career. In neither one he invented, but in both he achieved something. Something big, to be more precise. As well as inventing many things in his life, Benjamin Franklin also made many achievements.

Overall, Benjamin Franklin was one of the greatest contributors and inventors. His most famous invention was the lightning rod, which helped stop people’s houses or buildings from catching fire easily. This achievement could be drawn from the fact that he was very observant, curious, and knowledgeable. It wasn't an accident, either. He planned to do it, and made sure he had the props to do it. Ben Franklin invented many great things, as well as made many achievements. Benjamin Franklin is a respectable man in our history that contributed many advanced ideas and invented many great things. His inventions are fascinating and he helped make a contract declaring independence from Great Britain. Benjamin Franklin is a very honorable man in U.S. history that contributed greatly to the field of science.
