The Princess and the Pizza is a fairytale written by Mary Jane Auch. It talks about Princess Paulina using her effort to open a restaurant. At first, she needed a job because his father had given up his throne and fortunately she met Queen Zelda of Kingdom Blom. She had to compete with sixteen other maitresses on different subjects, including writing and cooking. After four rounds of competition, only Paulina survived and won the game. In addition, she discovered a kind of food called pizza and opened a restaurant called Princess Paulina’s Pizza Palace.
First and foremost, we need to be independent and try to depend on ourselves to survive. Most of the women rely on their husbands to live in the society, but Princess Paulina is very different. In the story, after her father gave up his throne, she needed a job. Unlike others, she tried to find a job and at last found Queen Zelda. With her effort, she became the owner of a pizza restaurant. From this example, we know that being independent helps us gain experience and knowledge. Therefore, independence is a useful characteristic and makes people become more mature.
Secondly, we should not give up our dreams and keep trying until success. If we keep trying hard, our dreams will come true. In the story, in competition 4, when Princess Paulina found out that there was not enough time, chances, and ingredients left, she still did her best. In twenty minutes, she discovered a type of food called pizza, which lays the groundwork for the opening of the restaurant. Like Paulina, we should not give up whenever we meet any difficulties and it is essential for us to keep trying and trying. Therefore, remember to never give up and be concentrated when we are attempting.
Last but not least, self-recognition is a crucial theme in the story. It requires two parts: one on your body, and another on your reactions and emotions. Throughout the story, Princess jPaulina had a self-recognition and it is an essential spallation for her. From finding a job to winning the competition, she experienced a lot and recognized various characteristics from herself. From the example, we can see that self-recognition occurs on everybody and it can be different on different people. It also represents the maturity of a person. Therefore, self-recognition can be different for people, but it is beneficial and makes us have a better recognition of ourselves.
In conclusion, I think The Princess and the Pizza is an interesting yet educative fairytale. I learned a lot of morals in this story. Firstly, we should not depend on others to live, instead it is essential for us to be independent and try to rely on ourselves to survive, like Princess Paulina. Secondly, we should never give up our dreams and try our best until success whenever we meet problems. Thirdly, through the process, we should self-recognize ourselves and have a better understanding of ourselves.
