Story Review of The garden of Abdul Gasazi

It is a story about a young boy named Alan who helps Miss Hester’s bad behavior dog Fritz. Fritz is a bad dog who loves to chew chairs, stuffing them out of pillows and also he bites Miss. Hester's cousin Eunice’s six times. Because of his bad behavior, Fritze is not invited to her home. Miss Hester asked young Alan to stay and give Fritze an afternoon walk.

But Alan is too young to take care of the dog, and facing Fritze's terrible behavior he has nothing to do.

No rules, no standards. We shouldn’t let people break rules. Because rules can help us be nicer people. In the story Fritze has no standards to bite Miss Hester’s cousin several times. Cousin Eunice does not invite Fritze to her house anymore. If Fritze does not obey the rules, he definitely can go to Cousin Eunice’s place to play. Also breaking the rules may put others in very dangerous situations. When Fritz runs into a forbidden garden which he is not allowed in. Young Alan must go to a stranger’s house and talk to a stranger by himself. It is a very dangerous situation for Alan, he might be kidnapped or get hurt. To not obey the rules is a good thing.

It is not nice to bother others with a difficult task. It is very selfish to let other people get involved in trouble. Back to story, Miss Hester asked Alan to take care of her dog Fritze

who bites the people, chew furniture and runs free almost all the time. Fritze caused a lot of problems for young Alan. For example, when Fritze passed a place where a sign said no dog allowed he just ran about. Alan has no ability to stop Fritz, he has no choice but to follow the dog into the garden which may put in a difficult situation for him. Fritze finds his own way home without Alan. It makes Alan so scared and worried about the dog. Alan thought he lost Fritze. Miss Hester knows her dog's problem, and she also knows Alan is too young to control the bad mannered dog. At least she should hire a professional trainer to change Fritze to a good boy then let Alan do the work or sending him to boarding will be a good idea too.Giving other people a mission they may get in trouble is not responsible.

Never accept an impossible task.o Woe don't have the ability to do so. According to the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary impossible means incapable of being or.Simply to say is we can't do that. When Miss Hester asks Alan to take care of Fritze, Alan shouldn't say yes. He doesn't have the ability to control the dog. It will put himself and Fritze into a dangerous situation. Before we take on a task the first most important thing is to make sure of our own safety. Alan should ask very detailed questions to get a better education about Fritze then make a correct decision. It is good for both of them. Don't accept any mission that we don't have the ability to accomplish. Don't put yourself in trouble.

I read this story several times and discussed it with mom a lot. As a young man, every time I accept a task I should know the task as much as I can before I accept it. It is a responsible action for me and also for other people. When I feel I can achieve the goal, I should tell the truth and give them a good reason like this is not under my ability. Hopeful all of us can follow the rules and standards that will make everything easier and better.
