In the novel Strawberry girl written by Louis Lenski, it talks about two families. The Slater family and the Boyers family. These two families are actually really different from each other. The Slaters family didn't have really good conditions so none of them had the money to go to school and learn so they don't have manners. They were really mean to everyone and didn't understand how to be respectful and kind to others. They did what they wanted to do but it was the wrong thing.
Stubbornness prevents people from accepting new knowledge, new ideas, or new things. If we don’t learn new stuff, we cannot know more than what happens around us. In this novel, the Slater's family were stubborn. New Change means we are learning new things, Not accepting new knowledge means one doesn't want to move out of his/her comfort zone. If one doesn't learn new things and stays where he/she is, one won’t know enough about the world. The new knowledge is important because we have to gain it into our brain so as to stay up with the main trend.
Lack of social morality or legal consciousness leads people to criminality and destruction, which is not good. A destructive person will mess everything up and blame it on others, so that they wouldn’t get in trouble. If people don’t help you, then you won’t survive in this community. People would try to make you leave because they will think that this is not a place for those bad people. But if we learn and be nice to everyone and get used to that place, people would treat you like if you belonged there.
Education is really important for our life. It is because they don’t really know that it is really important. And plus, they don’t really want to be intelligent and study because they just didn’t know how important Education is because Education teaches us a lot of things. Makes us smarter and when you are smart, then a lot of people would help you and you would have a really happy life. Education makes us have a lot of friends in the world and that helps us with the future. Education is the key to life.
