Story review of Seven Spools of Thread

The fable Seven Spools of Thread takes place in a small african villager where there was a father and his seven sons. Those seven sons argued day and night. When their father eventually died, he left a will to the brothers that asked them to turn thread into gold and if they did not by the next moon then their fathers money would go to the poorest people in the village and the boys would turn into beggars. They succeeded. They felt bad for the poor people of the village so they decided to teach them how to make the cloth. This fable teaches us teamwork, not to argue, and to share.

Teamwork enables us to finish tasks more quickly and more efficiently. Because people are given opportunities to share their ideas and responsibilities, they are able to find the best way to reach their objective. When the seven boys worked together they finished their clothes faster and on time. Also, they shared their ideas with each other which allowed them to develop a new approach to combine the colors and obtain gold. The brothers relied on each other and they came up with new ideas to solve their problem and they chose the best one. Working in a team encourages people to think out of the box to overcome challenges and build strong connections with each other.

There’s no point in arguing with others because it’s a waste of time and does not change anything. People you argue with will not change his or her thoughts. If you argue no one will listen to you and that will only leave you irritated and annoyed. When the seven brothers were arguing they finished nothing. Later, the seven brothers were not arguing and they finished their cloth. This shows that when you don’t argue, you can focus on your project and achieve things you couldn't do before. Arguing does not change someone's opinion so you should just not argue and cooperate with others.

Sharing your knowledge to people in your community is a way of showing your kindness and generosity. It not only makes you feel happy, people you're sharing with will also feel gratitude. When the seven brothers showed their gold to the chief they felt bad for the people of the village because they were poor and suffering. So, the brothers decided to share the way to make cloth with them. After they shared their skills their village prospered. The brothers cared about the villagers and they saw what they needed. They tried their best to help them and instead of giving them money they gave them a way to make cloth. Sharing your skills and findings helps people connect with each other, also, you will feel fulfilled by being kind and giving.

The fable Seven Spools of Thread is very compelling. It teaches us valuable lessons including sharing, not to argue, and teamwork. Sharing is a good way of making your community stronger. This is why the seven brothers shared their knowledge with the poor people of the village. Teamwork allows people to work faster in order to succeed. If everyone worked together then everyone would succeed. Arguing doesn’t change anyone's opinion, so there's no point in doing so; if you do, you're wasting your time and energy.
