Story Review of Sarah, Plain and Tall

The story Sarah plain and tall is written by Patricia MacLachlan. It talks about the witting family losing a very important family member. The mother, Maggie. She died after Caleb was born. A girl named Sarah wants to be their new mom. They played a lot of things together. For example, they played the hay dun. The witting family did whatever they could to let Sarah have the feeling of home. They also swim with her because Sarah lives beside the sea. Once Sarah Wants to learn how to drive a wagon, The Whole Witting family is afraid that she will leave. But instead of leaving, Sarah brought something back.

Everyone has different reasons to be lonely. Some people are lonely because they have no family or no friends to play with. Some people may have other reasons. Sometimes, when they work together, they will not be lonely anymore. In the story, Sarah, Jacob, Anna, Caleb are all lonely, but they have different reasons. Caleb and Anna are because they have no mom anymore. Jacob is because he has no wife anymore. Sarah is because she has no family and no friends. When they come together. They become a family. Sarah got friends, Jacob got a wife, the siblings got a mom. They are all not lonely anymore. I think that when they come together, it will be better.

Home is the most important thing to us; everyone needs a good home. The home is where the heart is. Home is the warmest place that you could rest and enjoy with your family. Home is the best place in the world. In the story, Sarah’s brother got married so that Sarah has no home. At that time, Sarah is lonely. She has no place to live, and she has no one to stay with her. She’s completely alone. The writing family still has 3 people. But Sarah is the only one. She doesn’t have a family. Her heart has no place to put it, she has no place to live. What a sad thing it is. I think having a family and a good home is important.

Having a family is also as important as having a home. When you are sad, or angry, family is the one that will help you. They live with you, they will make you feel very warm, or happy, instead of lonely. In the story, all the characters feel lonely at the beginning. But when they meet, they feel warmer. They play together, they learn together, they also help each other together. When Sarah went silly and swam in the cow pond, they also did the silly thing together. This is a family; everyone is together, and everyone is happy. I think family is the one that can help us the most.

In conclusion, I think when everyone works together, it will solve all of our problems. Even through that all the characters have different reasons to be lonely, when they become a family, they feel better. They solved all their problems. Home is one of the most important things in our life. Home is the place where we live, relax, enjoy, or work. Home is the warmest place for us. Family is also very important. When you are sad or having other negative emotions, family can help you. They can make you feel better, or even make you feel happy. It is really important to have a family.
