<Once Upon a Baby Brother> is a touching story written by Sarah Sullivan. It talks about a creative girl named Lizzie who loved to tell stories. But one day, Lizzie’s baby brother Marvin came along. Her parents paid lots of attention to him. They were always trying to have an excuse when Lizzie wanted to tell her stories. This made her dislike Marvin. Telling stories was Lizzie’s hobby. Lizzie always turned Marvin into the bad guys in her stories. One day, Marvin went to grandma’s house. Lizzie was thrilled. In class Lizzie was always the first one to start writing the story, but this time, without Marvin on her side. She didn’t know what to write about. When Marvin came home, Lizzie had a good idea again that the superhero in the story was Marvin. This made their relationship better.
Writing stories is a good hobby, although many people think it is hard. If you try to do it, it might turn out to be easy for us. In the story, Lizzie loves writing stories very much. She can keep writing all through recess and she can create interesting characters too. Writing stories is a good hobby for people, it makes us creative, it can improve our imagination. There are some steps to help us make an interesting story, we just need to be creative so we can do it faster and easier. First, think of some characters in our story, make it specific, it can be a bad person or a hero. Second, describe your characters and their specialness, such as their hobbies or passions. Then, use new vocabulary words instead of simple ones. And have a great ending.
When we are stuck writing a story or anything else, we need some fresh inspiration. Our inspiration sometimes comes from the memories of the events in our lives that are unpredictable. In the story, Lizzie felt something was missing while her baby brother went out. When she was writing a story, she didn’t know what to write about because Marvin was not there. Lizzie got inspiration from her baby brother when he came home. Sometimes when we are stuck writing a story, having inspiration will help us. We get it when we have a moment or memory that we like, or an important event of our lives. Or any stories that we might have heard before. These are the ideas that we might get in our minds. So whenever we are stuck in something, try to relax or clear our mind, then we might pop out an idea.
Some family members love us in a way we may not realize or understand. When we are upset with our baby brother or baby sister, because they are too messy. Our parents might tell us that babies can’t help from making a mess so we need to be patient for a period of time. In the story, Lizzie dislikes her baby brother Marvin. But Marvin helped her with her comic book when they got alone. When we oppose some family members, they just don’t know what we think of them, so sometimes they might cause some trouble. Do not upset our families and show some respect for the best. If we look at the different aspects, we will find our baby brother is the source of happiness.
This is a warm story about a generous sister and her baby brother. From this story, we learned that using some simple steps can help us to write stories. Writing stories is a good hobby, and it will make us more creative. When we are stuck writing a story, getting some fresh inspiration is important. We shouldn't dislike annoying families that we don’t like. They love us in a way that we might not understand. We need to have more patience with them.
