Plot: The mousetrap keep vanishing
The story “mice and beans” is written by Pam Munoz Ryan, it talks about an old woman called Rosa Maria who needs to prepare a birthday party for her grandchild’s birthday. Her house is very small, but her mom had taught her that when there’s room in the heart, there’s room in the house except for a mouse. She starts working immediately. She puts a mousetrap before she goes to sleep every night, but the mousetrap keeps vanishing! When it was the day for the party, Rosa Maria forgot to fill the pinata so the mice helped her with it. Then, Rosa Maria finds that she remembers the words wrong all these years. It is not except, it is even.
Everything has both good and bad places, so we need to respect everything, even a mouse. Everything can be useful or powerful, nothing is completely bad, if a thing is completely bad, it is too unfair. In the story, mice are usually bad, but they helped Rosa Maria fill the pinata when she forgets it. See, mice are also good, if there are no mice, the kids will be very disappointed after they swung the pinata stick, also Rosa Maria will be very awkward. I think that we should respect everything, including things that are usually bad.
We need to prepare before anything happens so that we will be more confident. When we are more confident, we can do things better than normal. In the story, Rosa Maria prepared before the birthday party so that little Catalina was very happy at the party, she bought everything before the party. If Rosa Maria didn’t prepare anything, there will not be the swing set or the pinata and everything else that will make the kids happy and the party will be a big mess. I think it is very important to prepare before things happen.
It is very important to be Open Minded and always try to think of the good side of other things. If you are open minded, more people will like to play with you. In the end of the story, Rosa Maria does not even mind a few mice living in her house and she hates mice. Just like the words, when there is room in the heart, there will be room in the house, even for a mouse. I think Open Minded is a very useful and important morality and makes our hearts bigger.
In conclusion, I think that everything needs to be respected because everything has its good side. Even a mouse has its own useful or good place. We need to prepare before doing anything. Preparation can help us become more confident and do a better job when the important thing comes. Writing skills are very helpful to our article, it can make our article more beautiful.
