Plot: There are no girl on the President Wall
The story Grace for president is written by Kelly Dipucchio. It talks about a girl named Grace who found out that there is no girl president in the U.S. She thinks that it is very unfair. So, she decided to be the president of her school. Her opponent is Thomas cob from Mr. Waller’s class. Thomas is the school spelling Bee champion, he always won the blue ribbon at the science fair, he was the captain of the soccer team. He is very strong! They both make posters, make promises. Finally, it is time for the election. When the election is almost finished, Thomas has 268 votes and Grace has 267 votes. The very last student, Sam, votes for Grace Campbell! Grace is the president now!
In the United States, they have their own way of voting out a president. Every state has its own number of populations, the contestants always want states with a big population to vote for them. The contests need to add the numbers they got together, and they will check whose number is bigger. In the story, Mrs. Barrington let all students pick a state and when it is the election, every student needs to come to the stage and pick who he will choose. The number of every state is different. They add the number together. The contestant that got a lot of states that have a big population, they will normally win. I think that this way of voting out a president is very interesting.
Girls can also be as powerful as boys,we should treat girls equally. Girls can also be good and powerful leaders. Who says that girls can’t be better than boys? In the story, there had been no girl president in the United States, but Grace tried to be the president of her school, and she succeeded. She also did very well before the election! Girls can also be better than boys, even though Thomas Cab is strong, but the fact is that grace did beat him! I think that girls can also be the same as boys or they can even be better than boys.
It is very important to make posters or do something else to make people support your opinion if you are in an election. If you don’t do anything, people will think that why should I vote for you, you didn’t even let us believe your opinion. In the story, Grace, and Thomas both made a lot of posters and promises so that in the election, everyone has their own thoughts about who they will vote for. If Thomas and Grace did nothing, it will be very hard for people to think who they will vote for. I think that it is very important to let people support your ideas when you are in an election.
In conclusion, I think that the way the United States voted for their present is very special and interesting. I think that this way, it will be very fair. Girls are also very strong. We shouldn’t say that girls are not as good as boys. That’s a wrong opinion because girls can also be very strong. Why do you think that girl is not as strong as boys? It is also very important to do something to let people believe your opinions if you are in an election.
