The book called Goose’s Story written by Cari Best talks about one spring, the geese fly back and celebrate spring. There is a goose that is different, it’s foot hurts. The next day, it only has one foot. Other geese have babies, and they teach their babies to stay away from the goose who only has one foot. One day, the one foot goose can hop, the next day it can swim. In fall and winter, the goose is gone. The next spring, it flies back with another goose, the couple of geese soon have seven babies. They live a happy life.
When we are weak, we need to live with weakness. If we are scared and do not try hard, we will always be weak. In the story, the one foot goose’s foot is hurt, she is brave and try harder. At last, she is strong. The one foot goose is weak, but she lives with her weakness. Finally, she becomes strong. So, if we’re weak, don’t be scared and learn to live with our weakness.
I decide I’m strong, smart or diligent. Others cannot , even my parents. In the story, the other geese think the one foot goose is weak when she doesn’t fly, and leave her alone. Other geese think she is weak, but they can’t stop one foot goose becoming strong. Same, only I can decide I’m strong, smart or diligent.
I learn writing skills from this book too. It doesn’t write time directly. In the story, the author uses robin, onion grass, warm sum, and skating rink back into a pond. The author uses other things to tell it is spring. This writing skill is very good.
In conclusion, this story tells us when we are weak, we need to live with weakness, I decide I’m strong, smart or diligent, and writing skills. I like this story very much, it tells us so many things in our lives. If you have time, you can read it too.
