Story Review of David’s New Friends

Character: David, Mr. Roy

Setting: before the first day of school, at home, at school

Plot: David is facing the first day of school.

Genre: Realistic Fiction

This lovely story written by Pet Mora talks about things when David is facing the first day of school. When he enters the room, he sees a lizard and sits away. Teacher Mr. Roy introduces him and looks for some chalk, David gives him. Then he looks for his glasses which is on his head. At last, Mr. Roy spills juice on his slippers at snack time. He shows lizard Slim, it escapes but David catches it. David makes two friends today.

Always try new things. Something we hate may be liked. Firstly, David hates lizards, but he

challenges him and likes it. We can try to like things that we hate. Try to find the value from things we hate is worth but hard to do.

Helping others is a virtue. Always help other people no matter what they give you thanks. David helps Mr. Roy finds some chalk and his glasses. David helps him even he didn’t thank him. Help others when they need help is always a virtue.

Making new friends is useful for us. Make as many friends as possible. David makes two friends that day, he gets friendship. Friends make us happier and meets more kinds of people. We can learn from friends, and they help us, gives happiness and trust.

In conclusion, we know three things: Try best to like things we hate before, like anything will make our life happier. Always help someone that needs help, never mind the gift and do our best. Making friends can give us friendship, knowledge, help, and trust. This is a very instructive story, I hope everyone will read and love it.
