The story Cook-A-Doodle-Doo, written by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel, talks about Rooster making a strawberry shortcake with his friends. Rooster was tired of eating the same food daily, so he decided to cook just like his great-grandmother. Three friends wanted to help so they formed a team, Turtle read the recipe, Iguana got things, and Pig tasted the food. When making the cake, Iguana made many mistakes, like how to use the correct tools, or misunderstood some words and sticks of butter, or flour and flower. But at last, they successfully made the most delicious strawberry shortcake ever. When it was time, Iguana was too excited that he took the cake carelessly onto the table, but at that moment, the newly made cake slipped and dropped onto the flour, pig thought that it was his job now, so, he ate every piece of the cake in his belly with a big slurp. There was a little argument about who to blame, but at last, they made another cake that was more fabulous than the first.

Teamwork and cooperation are essential in achieving a goal. Teamwork could help one reach what they want more easily and more confidently. Being assertive can also lead to more success with more determination. In the story, Rooster, Iguana, Turtle, and Pig made the most marvelous strawberry shortcake in the world. As a team, they worked together, and what might have taken hours alone was completed in just one hour. Teamwork also taught them how to cooperate; instead of arguing among each other, they worked together peacefully to make the cake they deserved. Teamwork and cooperation mean working together and facing everything together.
Carelessness could lead to arguments and losses, but learning from it is important, too. When someone is careless, there might be mistakes in something, and the team might blame the person who made the mistake, and the blamed person might blame others, and this would go on and on, and it won’t be a good team anymore. But instead of arguing with each other, they should learn from their carelessness and mistakes. Carelessness is a lesson; when one makes mistakes about carelessness, it’s important not to blame each other. It’s done; just don’t make that mistake again. In the story, Iguana accidentally dropped their precious cake. The cake fell because Iguana was careless. They all blamed each other, which made no help. But Rooster suggested making another cake, and instead of continuing to argue, they took action and made another one. This time, they learned to be careful and prevent their precious cake from slipping again. Instead of blaming each other, one should learn from carelessness.
Friends could accompany us through hard times and encourage us through darkness and hopelessness. When someone has a goal to achieve, they are likely to want company, in that case, a best friend is the perfect choice. Whatever one does, even cooking or washing the dishes, not all people want to do it alone. In the story, Iguana, Pig, and Turtle volunteered to help Rooster baking a cake. When Rooster wanted to make Strawberry Shortcake, he asked his animal friends for help. Some of them refused. But his other friends, Iguana, Pig, and Turtle, were sympathetic and were interested in the subject. So they helped raise Rooster’s spirit and joined in. Friends support and help each other through tough times.
