The book Cook-a-Doodle-Doo by Janet Stevens is about an ancestor of the little red hen named Rooster who wants to make a strawberry shortcake and he asks for animals to help him. Although some of the animals don’t want to help, Iguana, Turtle, and Pig all help her. When they are making the cake they make numerous mistakes and at the end Pig eats the cake. So they make many more. It’s a funny story full of iguanas' mistakes. All of the animals together teaches us patience, learning from your mistakes, and teamwork.

Patience is a very important virtue that leads to significant rewards and meaningful relationships. With patience you will take your time, be a better listener, and make more realistic decisions. This means that being patient can make you slow down to avoid harm to yourself and respond to others with care when they make mistakes. When Pig was rushing to try and eat the cake that was inside the oven, he burned his tongue. On the other hand, when turtle was reading the recipe he did it correctly because he did it slowly. When iguana kept on misunderstanding the directions, everyone else was nice and explained it to him. This shows that being patient gets a better outcome than rushing. Doing things patiently is also safer than rushing because you're doing it slower and more carefully. When someone makes a mistake, everyone else shows their patience and that fosters understanding and brings them together. Being patient allows you to avoid accidents, learn from your experience, bond with your friends, and eventually accomplish your goals.

Making mistakes is part of life but it can also serve as a valuable lesson. Everyone makes mistakes, but in order to avoid repeating them, you need to analyze your mistakes and try to find ways to improve so that you won’t make the same mistake in the future. Each time iguana made a mistake, he never thought about it so he made many more. Although everyone was telling the iguana how to fix things, he kept on making the same type of mistakes. because he did not listen to them and he did not think about his mistakes. In order to learn from your mistakes, you need to reflect on your errors, think about what you did wrong and try to fix it.

Teamwork leads to greater success than individual effort alone. It allows us to utilize each member's diverse abilities and cover up one another through struggles. Whenever you make a mistake, your team members will alway be there to help you and you can also express what you're good at. When Iguana made a mistake Rooster always told him what he did wrong. Another point is each animal had a different responsibility which made it easier to make the cake. This is why working as a team is effective, because everyone can help each other and fix each other's mistakes. It's also easier to achieve your goal since each animal will be doing the job where they have an advantage. Teamwork encourages team members to communicate openly and to support each other which leads to success.

The book Cook-a-Doodle-Doo by Janet Stevens is very humorous which teaches us many morals that include teamwork, patience, and to learn from your mistakes. Patience is very important in our lives because being patient helps you avoid saying hurtful things when people make a mistake. It also allows you to take your time and follow instructions to accomplish your task. When you do make a mistake, you need to think about why you made a mistake and learn from it in order to not repeat it. It’s better to work on a team than work alone since your teammates will always have your back when you make a mistake.
