Story Review of Biblioburro

Characters: Luis, Diana

Setting: Jungle

Plot: Luis loves book but his wife don’t

Genre: Narrative Nonfiction

In the jungle of Colombia there was a man called Luis. He loved books but his wife didn’t, so Luis need to go to far away hills to give books to children that didn’t have. And every week Luis took his two burros, Alfa and Beto, to go to share books. And this week they went to EL Tormanto, when they arrived, Luis asked them to put on the masks and read story for them. Finally, when the story ended they chose and went home.

Good friends share good things. We can share things with our best friends when we have many and want to share. Luis had many books and wanted to share them with children who didn’t have them. Luis read a story about piglets and the children learned about something. Giving is sharing, and reading story to someone is sharing, too! This story tells us  we can share with friends.

Knowledge can be transmitted. When we read books we obtain knowledge from reading them. We can read some Nonfiction stories so we learn something about facts such as life-cycle, animal, and plant. Luis gives books to read so the children have a lot of knowledge. Knowledge can be transmitted through books so we should read many books such as Nonfiction books, fiction books, poems, speech and geography. This story tells us reading is very stressful and important because it gives us knowledge.

We should be thankful for what others give us. The children are welcoming Luis and the two burros. Because they like books offered by Luis and they are thankful. This story tells us to be thankful. We should be thankful for what others give us. When someone gives us things, such as toys, books, and we need to thank them. We should thank our parents for giving us family; we should thank teachers for giving us knowledge; we should thank friends for giving us company. The children knew Luis shared books with them since they didn’t have the books. And Luis was far away from children so it was hard to bring books for them and if Luis didn’t bring books, the children would have no books to read. So children need to thank Luis for giving them books to read and sharing them knowledge. When people share us something, we should be thankful.

Luis' house was filled with books and went with his burros for away hills to share books with children. And when he arrived, Luis read a story to the children. Finally they picked a book and said bye-bye! This story tells us to share things with friends, and family and someone else we know or we don’t know when we are able to. We also learn that knowledge can be disseminated via reading books, poems, or something else. When we read them we obtain knowledge from them. Last but not least, we should be grateful if others share us things such as toys or something else. In all, I learned a lot from the story and I like it very much.
