Story review of Alice in the Wonderland

The story Alice in Wonderland is a fantastic children’s book written by Lewis Carrol. It talks about a girl named Alice who follows a rabbit and falls down a rabbit hole into a fantastical world. During the whole journey, she meets a lot of strange creatures and encounters multiple unusual situations. The trip is amazing and is full of abnormal things, like the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, etc. At the end, she even goes on a course in which the debate questions are absurd. Finally, she finds out that the whole adventure is only a dream.

Creativity and imagination are important qualities to have in order to have a different life experience. Just imagine, if we don‘t have any imagination and creativity, we will live in a boring world. Our lives would be very dull as well. Additionally, our whole world wouldn’t develop with new technologies. Even though the whole journey is just a dream, this is a dream I believe nobody wants to wake up from. It is because of the writer's imagination, we enjoyed following his mind to experience and explore something we can’t find in the real world. This shows that when we have imagination and creativity, we would experience a special life. From today on, be free to think, imagine and protect our good ideas instead of carefully following the common thinking.

Life is never perfect which means if we get one thing, normally we would lose another thing. For example, if we were adults we can have “full” freedom of doing anything we want, but in the meantime, it brings us a lot more responsibilities like cooking, doing houseworks. On the contrary, if we complain about being a kid who is controlled by parents with limited freedom, but in the meantime, we have less things to worry about. In the story, Alice drank a liquid in a bottle marked “Drink Me” and suddenly shrunk. So, she began thinking about the benefits when she was small but then quickly realized she lost lots of capability as a BIG man. Afterwards, she eats a piece of cake with “Eat Me” written on it. She grew extremely tall. Therefore, she began thinking about the benefits of being tall but realized she couldn’t go into the beautiful garden anymore. Therefore, if we accept what we have and not complain about what we lose, we would live in a positive and happy life more easily.

Most people are not purely good or purely bad because humans are very complex. Someone that we think is excellent, but actually he is maybe rude in another point of view. Maybe someone else looks rude, however it could be very easy to communicate with him. The characters in the story can't easily define them. For example, the caterpillar who sits on the mushroom was rude to Alice. However, in another point of view, he also helped Alice to learn how to control her height. It shows us that everybody could behave as an angel but in other circumstances, he could be a very mean person. So if we understand each person’s complexity, we can become more understandable, with more empathy which will help you finally be an easy-going person.

This is a world famous novel. The author had won the prize of . When I read the book, I feel that I am in the story. It was a very wonderful and amusing story. It mainly talks about three morals as above. First, creativity and imagination depend on each other and are both important for our life. Second, we need to always remember that life is never perfect and to appreciate what we have and not complain about what we lose. Last, but not the least, most people aren’t purely good or purely bad. We need to be with someone for a long time to discover all the personalities in him. Finally, I wish that everyone could have the chance to read this amazing and famous novel.
