The story of Ferdinand is written by Munro Leaf, it talks about Ferdinand the bull is very special. He is special because he likes to sit quietly and smell flowers while others like to play and fight. He doesn’t like to fight however he is picked by men to the bull fights by mistake. He doesn’t fight at all at the bull fight that surprises everyone. This is a very interesting book that keeps me thinking about is it okay to be different?
Some people are different from the others. Some people want to be noisy and some people want to be quiet. In the story, the other bulls like to fight while Ferdinand sits quietly and smells flowers. So we can be different from others. Everyone can be different in the world.
If everyone in the world is the same then the world will be boring. Because we can not learn anything new from the world. In the story, the bulls only know how to fight but Ferdinand knows how to fight and appreciate flowers. We need to know more things from the world so we can be a scholar of something. We need to learn more in this world so we can be someone who is interesting.
We don’t want people to force us to do things that we want to. Everyone has their own ways. In the story, Ferdinand hears the people say he is going to fight but Ferdinand does not fight. He does not want to fight so he rejects to fight. Nobody can force us to do anything.
This book teaches us a lot of things in life. It is good to be different. If everyone is same then it is not fun. We don’t want to force other people to do what they don’t want. I learned many things, do you like it?
