Plot: Mr.Putter lives alone, he has no one to share his things. He’s lonely and wants a cat for his company, so he goes to she pet store. But there’s no cats, so he goes to the shelter. There he likes a yellow old cat, takes her home, and names her Tabby.

This lovely story written by Cynthia Rylant, talks about Mr.Putter and Tabby. Mr.Putter lives alone, he has no one to share anything everyday. That makes him lonely, and wants a cat to be his company. He goes to the pet store to find one, but they don’t have any. Then he goes to the shelter, and finds a yellow old cat that he likes. He takes her home and names her Tabby. From then on, they share everything and become friends, they can’t remember the days without each other.
People need to have friends. If we don’t, we’ll feel lonely, and with no one to be together to have fun. Mr.Putter feels lonely and unhappy before he gets Tabby, he has no one to share things. He feels lively and happy together, they share everything. Friends are important, they bring us friendship, trust, happiness, and courage.
Not only can kittens be good company, but also can cats. Even cats aren’t cute and peppy, they can still be good companies. The store lady says no one wants cats. But Mr.Putter likes cats and is a good owner of Tabby. Things may seem good and useful when they’re small, but they’re still good on another side when they’re old.
Sharing with others is a virtue. When we share, we’ll get friendship, others will get the things we share. Mr. Putter and Tabby share muffins, tea, and stories everyday. Each of them earn trust and happiness. Sharing is necessary to everyone, we’ll all get something, as well as it brings us closer.
In conclusion, the moving story tells us that friends are important to people, they bring us many things. Cats can be good friends even they aren’t cute and peppy. Sharing enjoys all of our things, listening and talking together sincerely no matter what their looks. Care and love and can warm up the days and nights.
