Halloween is my favorite holiday in a year since I like candies. We can dress up and go to school that day.
Last Tuesday, we got up early in the morning. I was not sleepy at all because I was so excited! My sister made up by herself. She was an angel and I was a ghost this time. My mom drew two cute pumpkins on my cheeks with her orange eyeshadow.
In the morning, we attended the annual Community Costume Parade. Our teachers and students came out and walked along the street. Teachers gave candies to people who passed by. I was very excited to walk with my friends. They dressed up as hotdog, fairy , Disney princess and so on. There were pumpkins, ghost bride , skeleton and other Halloween decoration outside the houses besides the street. When it was dark, there would be different lights on to make them more scared.
After School , I went to the Halloween party which was held at school. Firstly, I made two magic dusts called rainbow bright sparkly dust with a lot of colorful sprinkles. Secondly, I decorated a fake pumpkin with stickers. Then, the teacher let us choose a special snack including candies, gold fish biscuits and a fruit roll. At last, we played a game named guess how many jelly beans in the jar. If you guess the closest number of the jelly beans of the jar, you can bring the jar home.
I didn’t go to trick or treat in the evening because it was too cold outside and my sister went to trick or treat with her classmates. Then she gave all her candies and chips to me because she just wanted to enjoy the process to get the candies.
This Halloween passed and I hope next Halloween will be my dream Halloween. I will ask my mom to buy a carving set to carve a pumpkin. I will carve and decorate my pumpkin and send it to the pumpkin competition in our community library. I will dress up as Mr. Potato as the play that we watched this afternoon. Because he is really funny and makes us laugh every time.I think it is not easy to buy this costume, maybe we should prepare something to make the potato costume.And my mom will draw potatoes and other scared things on my face. I will not attend our school’s Halloween party so I can arrive home and have dinner early. After dinner, I will go out for trick or treat with my sister and mom. I will remember what the police said to us at school. For example, I should go with at least an adult and we should keep being seen each other at any time. And I should wear a shining thing such as a shining tape or a shining bracelet to let the driver know that there are people walking on the sidewalk and may cross the road. I also will remind my mom to buy candies, chips, and chocolates in advance. After my trick or treat,I will come back to my house early and do candy offer. My teacher told us that sharing is caring. I want to share the happiness with other kids. When I offer candy, I will see different costumes and give me some ideas about next Halloween.
I can not wait until next October!
