Ham And Eggs

Ham and eggs is a classic American combination, it is a popular breakfast meal in the United States. Now, I will teach you how to make Ham and Eggs.

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • 2 slices ham

Directions:

Step 1

First, we crack the six eggs one by one into a big pan for making eggs. Then, get rid of the eggshells. After that, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Toss in eggs .When the eggs are almost ready, add the cup of milk into the pan. This will make the egg more tasty.

Step 3

Then make the ham into pisces and put them inside the eggs. Mix it all together and the eggs will get thick in the hot pan. This is how you make delicious ham and eggs. Yum!



Beef Stew


Beef stew is one of the dishes I remember most about my life in China. As long as I can remember, I have liked sports since I was a child. When I climbed the rocks, I was tired and didn't have much strength. My grandma told me that if I want to have more strength, I should eat more beef. So my grandma tried various beef recipes, and beef stew was my favorite.

Until I left China, my grandma was worried that I wouldn’t be able to eat it anymore, so my grandma taught my mother how to make beef stew. Since then, whenever I eat the beef stew made by my mother, I will think of my grandma. I really want to go back to China and hug my dear grandma.

I am very thrilled to share the recipe with all of you. Let me tell you how to make the beef stew.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh beef meat

  • 10 teaspoons olive oil

  • 1 whole purple onion(Fried Onions are the most important thing in this dish)

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  • 2 potatoes and 1 carrot (little pieces)

Spices:

  • 10 cloves of garlic, a small piece of ginger

  • 3 cilantro roots and 2 celery roots (no or don’t like it, you don't need to use it.)

  • 2 bay leaves, 2 star anise, 1 cinnamon bark

Directions:

Step 1

Remove the large fat meat from the beef meat, but need to keep some fat meat which helps make the beef tender, and cut into inch cubes.

Step 2

Fried onions which add aroma and flavor to beef stew —Cut the onion into inch cubes, then pour the oil and onion cubes into the heated pan and fry over medium-low heat until the onion is soft and browned. Finally, take out the fried onions and reserve, and save the excess onion oil for other dishes.

Step 3

Heat a bit of onion oil in a large pot and fry the beef meat in batches. This step is a bit time-consuming but frying the meat adds a stewing smell. NOTE: it’s important not to crowd the pan, if you try to brown all the meat at once, it will steam instead of sear and you won’t get all that lovely color and flavor.

Step 4

Pour all the spices, fried onions and fried beef into a cast iron pot or saucepan, then add soy sauce and dark soy sauce. Last, add boiling water over the ingredients, cook for 40 minutes on medium-low heat.

Step 5

After 40 minutes, add the potato and carrot cubes and cook for another 30 minutes on low heat. Finally, add an appropriate amount of salt according to your own taste. At this , the delicious beef stew is ready.
