Let’s Help The Earth

A Way To Help Planet Earth, is from Time For Kids is a nonfiction article. The purpose of this text is to talk about ways for helping the planet Earth clean. Many people who do the job about environmental conservation are working hard to keep the air, land, and water clean, so the endangered plants and animals will not become extinct. However, one of the hardest jobs they have is the trash problem. 

 Everyday people make trash. If people look closely, people can see that a lot of trash actually comes from plastic. Soda, bubble milk tea, McDonald sweet iced tea, or just water bottles —- they all come in plastic bottles. If a whole family makes 1 or 2 plastic bottles per day, it will not be a big trash problem for the Earth. But if 1000000000 families make 1 or 2 plastic bottles per day, then it definitely becomes a big trash problem for the Earth. Too much plastic is one of our worst trash problems. 

Why does trash become a big problem? After people drink a plastic water bottle, the plastic water bottle becomes trash. This plastic trash will remain for hundreds of years, even thousands of years. This plastic trash then becomes a pollution to hurt the Earth. Sometimes people can see some water bottles in the ocean. Also, the plastic trash does not change much as it gets old. 

To solve this big trash problem, people can begin to recycle the plastic bottles. When people recycle, they take something that’s been used and turn it into something new. Here are the steps for recycling. First, plastic bottles are separated from other trash at home. Second, a special recycling truck came to pick up the plastic bottles. Next, plastic bottles are taken to a recycling center. Then, the plastic bottles are crushed into small pieces, and then melted down. The melted plastic is sent to a factory. Last, At the factory, the old plastic is made into something new and useful.

Keeping Earth clean is really an important job. It is everyone’s responsibility, no matter if people are old or young, adults, or kids. It is not difficult to recycle plastic water bottles. People just need to throw the plastic trash in the recycle trash can. Also, people should take some actions to prevent the trash problem. People can use their own drinking bottles to buy Starbuck drinks instead of using plastic bottles. People can reuse their plastic water bottles to refill the water instead of throwing it away after one-time use. If people don’t do something from now on to protect the Earth, then one day humans cannot live on the Earth anymore. Remember we only have one Earth.
