Leonardo da Vinci was the most outstanding painter in the Renaissance. Two of his notable works of painting are the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. Leonardo da Vinci showed his artistic talent when he was a teenager. Even though he was an artist's apprentice, he had very little formal education, but he was good at observing life and practicing painting skills assiduously. He expressed his love for nature and his feelings for animals with his brush. His tireless passion for life and his individual way of thinking was seen in all his art works.

Leonardo da Vinci is absolutely the unique artist with amazing creativity in human history. As most people know Leonardo was a magnificent artist however some people don't realize being an artist doesn't always mean he’s only good at painting. Leonardo da Vinci skillfully also applied his artistic talent and painting skills to design and invention. For example, he designed an armored tank, a portable bridge and a submarine. The world was surprised to find that Leonardo da Vinci's works contain a large number of notes on breakthrough scientific observations. They also contain ideas for technological inventions.

What’s more Leonardo da Vinci can become the greatest artist of all time because of his astonishing forward-thinking ability and modern ideas in science. For example, more than four centuries before the advent of helicopters, he drew a detailed schematic diagram of an aircraft taking off vertically. In addition, with the skill of an engineer and the creativity of an artist, he created a mechanical lion, which is the pioneer of modern robots. In 1515, the invention was presented to the king of France, which surprised onlookers. The robot could walk by itself - its chest had a secret compartment, which suddenly opened - to show a lily, the flower-like symbol of the French Monarchy.
