First of all, Ike's behavior when eating chicken pie was wild and unruly. Ike's behavior was indeed inappropriate, as he had eaten the chicken pie without Mrs. LaRue's permission. Secondly, Ike’s impertinency suddenly causes the accident to happen. Ike has extremely bad behavior when he “thought” he saved the cat. Because he chased the cat, it causes melodramatic, which has another meaning of stress reaction. With melodrama, the nature of the cat's action will be afraid and go places where no one could chase them. Because of Ike’s kind action, it makes it even worse that they are afraid and they could probably not come down safely. Also, if Ike saw a cat in danger, why can’t he just tell the owner that their cat was in danger and get involved in this situation. He can just mind his own business and not get involved in it. He thought he did a philanthropic act, but actually, he was just making it worse.
Third but not the least, Ike's howling was an intolerable behavior that seriously impacted the tranquility of his environment. He attempted to justify it by claiming it might be caused by the sound of vacuuming, but while vacuum noises are a regular part of daily life and typically tolerated by neighbors, Ike's howling was an entirely different matter.
