How did Railway Unite USA?

Before the railway was built in the United States. People travel by foot, boat, or horse. This is all not so good. We must know that the west and the east are very far away. It may take days to travel there. This is very convenient. A lot of people wasted a lot of time there on the journey. So, people made the pacific railway. This made it a lot better.

First, we must talk about why people want to move from the east to the west. Let’s talk about the problem of the east. 1. It is too crowded. There are so many people there. It is not so comfortable. It is too small. 2. It is a very big city; it is very hard to get rich there. The good thing about the west part is that it is very big, a lot of people could stay there. 3. There is a lot of gold there, people want to get rich.

Now, let’s go deeper into the details of the railway. 1. The pacific railway that connects the east and west part of the United States started construction in 1863 and finished in 1869. 2. There are up to 20000 people that helped to build the railway. 3. The easiest way to build a railway cost 16000 dollars per mile, the mountains and the hard places went up to 32000 dollars per mile.

Also, the railway made the USA feel more united. The east and the west part could communicate with each other in a better way. All of America is united together. They could go wherever they want with the railway. This is a lot easier for them to travel. So, they will often go to another place, the different places people could meet each other more often.

The railway is a very important part of America, before it was built, it was very convenient to travel from place to place. The east is too crowded, and it is too small, people have a small chance to get rich. The west part had a lot of land and there was a lot of gold there. It is also very hard to build the railway. They spend a lot of money. The railway also made the United States more united by they could meet each other more.
