Future Medical Science, Medication or Surgery?

When people get sick they need medicine to be healed, but when it's something much worse it will require surgery. But which one is a better solution to curing illnesses? Medicine is used when patients have a mild problem, such as fevers. But also can be used for many other reasons. Medicine can also be found in other forms, such as chemotherapy which helps with cancers and tumors which can also be healed using surgery. Surgery is performed when there are complications in the human body, most of the time because an organ isn’t functioning right. Surgery unlike medication can have a chance of death, but most of the time patients come it fine. But which one is a better solution to medical procedures? The best solution is surgery as it fixes the fatal problems.

Surgery is a great option, and probably the only option, when people have complications with the organs inside their body. Surgery may also be used when you fracture a bone. The things surgery cures aren’t curable using medicine, for example, if you fracture your ankle badly enough, taking pills isn’t going to help it. Medicine only helps fend off diseases or cure mild fevers. If you have a potentially deadly ailment, medicine may not be the best choice. Medicine can definitely not cure everything. But surgery can as when you have a fever you can slowly heal yourself even without medication.

Surgery is extremely helpful for people who have fractured their bones too. Most of the time it will only involve patients wearing a cast, but when they fracture it really badly they will need surgery. If surgery wasn’t a thing, and you let your bone heal without the surgery. It will probably cause complications in the future. Surgery is also used when a patient needs joint replacement because the tissue has been torn. Sometimes the surgeon removes the whole joint or just half of it with an artificial joint. Surgeries like this help people for a lifetime.

Many people think surgery is dangerous, which it is as it always carries a chance of death, which is true, but this is very rare and almost never happens. And if you were to have a fatal heart disease you would still pick surgery as the chances of dying from it aren’t as high as surviving a heart disease with only medication. Surgery can cure other deadly diseases too and sometimes surgery isn’t even used for that. Plastic surgery is a different form of surgery where it is not required and can only be wanted by the patient. Plastic surgery makes a person look “prettier”. Surgery can be for any other reason too, not always required and sometimes are. Surgery can take form in many ways, but either way, the patient will always end up happy and healthy.

Surgery can easily treat illnesses especially with the organs, unlike medicines. Medicine can only treat mild kinds of illnesses, for example fevers. Surgery can treat heart diseases, cancer, bone fractures, while medicine can’t do any of that. Surgery can also be used to make a person “prettier”, and can be used for other reasons too. Surgery can be required or wanted from a patient, surgery can do life changing things. In conclusion, surgery does many things that medicine can never do, making it one of the best options.
