Story Review of Nutik The Wolf Pup

Character: little boy, father, mother, big sister, two pups

Setting: Eskimo

Genre: fiction

The book <Nutik The Wolf Pup> is written by Jean Craighead George, illustrated by Ted Rand. It mainly talks about one day Julie brings two hungry, sickly pups back, she asks Amarog to feed and tend one. One morning Amaroq and Nutik were tumbling on the mossy tundra when the wolf pack calls. Nutik hears them. Amoroq ran. Nutik ran after. After a long time he led Nutik home. Afterwards, Nutik whimpers at the door. Amaroq opens it. The wolves are dancing with welcome. Amoroq stops. He cannot go. When he gets home, there is Nutik!

We can see love between humans and animals everywhere. There are many classic human-animal things around us. In the story, when Amoroq runs, Nutik runs. When Amoroq cries, Nutik licks his cheek. They love and care for each other. Finally when wolves come to take wolf pups, Nutik chooses to live with Amoroq. In real life, a white French girl, named Tippi, lives with her parents in the African savannah. She takes elephants as her brother, runs wild on ostriches, sleeps with lions, and climbs trees with baboons. I saw the friendship between humans and animals in her book. Love is not only among humans, its bond with each other.

Human and animals have long-term relationships where they live together and work cooperatively together. Humans breed and love animals, animals accompany, protect and work for humans. In the story, one day Julie brings two hungry, sickly pups back, she also asks Amarog to feed and tend one. In real life, there are many kinds of working animals: guide dogs, police dogs, doves, etc..They also give love and trust back to humans and work for them. The wonderful relationship between man and animals will continue.

Human beings are not the masters of the earth. Humans, animals, rivers and mountains together make up this beautiful planet. Excessive use of earth resources, or killing animals, will make the earth sick, we should protect the only human survival environment. In the story, wolves are not the enemies of humans, humans help wolves raise their pups. In real life, Jane Goodall watches chimpanzees and lives with them. In old age, she went around the world, telling people to protect chimpanzees. She created Roots and Shoots and made many people feel responsible and active in animal protection work.We have the responsibility to protect our beautiful planet.

In conclusion, I learn a lot from this story. Firstly, human beings can not live alone on the earth. Protecting animals, protect the environment is our responsibility. Secondly, I learn many good relationships from reading books, like love your friends, love sporting, live your major, and learn love with humans and animals. Last but not the leastly, I also learn writing skills, like long beautiful sentences, detailed descriptions and more. I highly recommend this book to you, and hope you will like it, too.
