Amada got really excited to reach America because her father was there. She found a place where she could think and write in her diary. Amada learned to adapt in the new environment that she and her family now live in. She finally settled down and found some peace and less confusion. Amada learned how to alter herself to fit into her new surroundings.

These people are uprooted from their homeland and replanted in a new place for better living conditions or better education. People all over the world came to America bringing different cultures and religions with them. This made the United States more diverse. That is why the United States is called “The melting pot”. This phrase describes when all the cultural differences are blended together forming a stronger group. It is very important for immigrants to remember who they are and keep their culture and differences alive within their hearts. Immigrants from all over the world are a valuable part of America’s population.
