Jackie Mitchell was a great pitcher and a great one but there was something more important that made Jackie so great, she was a girl back then girls were known to not be able to play sports but they are very bad at it. She impressed everyone at Chattanooga Tennessee by defeating at the time the best team of New York, since a child she has been training with her father and she was finally able to show her skills.
If you want to be good at something and you make sure you always try your best you will achieve your goals. If you have great determination to do something you will stop thinking of other things and you will concentrate on only what you are doing. When Jackie was small she always got bullied by other kids because she was playing sports but she never gave up. She was able to show everyone what she could achieve.
Jackie was able to show that girls are able to do all the things boys can. Everyone can be good at something even if they are a girl. Gender doses change anything When she was training her dad and Dazzy Vance, a star pitcher, both saw her talent at pitching. She showed everyone that she could be good at sport. Anyone can be good at sport even if they are a girl.
Women can do what they want to do. Gender should not restrain you from the things you want to do. Just because you are different doesn't mean that you can’t do something women should be able to express themselves. In the story Jackie showed that she can defeat the star team, something most men can never do but a woman defeated them this shows that women aren’t that useless and hopeless. You are not allowed to choose what gender you will be when you are born so I. It's not fair that boys are allowed to have such an advantage over girls.
Jackie is an amazing person; she was able to change many people's ideas about sport and gender. She showed that everyone is unique and you can do whatever they put your mind on. Girls and women are able to do lots of things boys and men who are different should limit what they can or can’t do. Girls and boys can do whatever they want and now one should every make fun of you gender.
