Character Review of A Wrinkle in Time Chapter 1: Mrs. Whatsit

Meg stands in the attic, as the hurricane rages outside. She hopes the roof holds on to the house, feeling nervous that her family is unaware of the hurricane thinking it is just some old big wind. The wind hollows, but the house is still quiet with no one on site. Finally, Meg gets down downstairs, where she finds her brother Charles just sitting there in the kitchen with a warm bottle of milk. He always seems to know what’s coming about Meg, and sure enough, he prepared milk for Meg and his or her mom. Just then, their mother comes into the kitchen, still tired. Meg has a few bruises on her from being bullied at school for being what people like to call the baby but Meg actually has a good IQ. Meg wishes her family would see her differently than just thinking Meg is the best all the time.

When people hector us, that doesn't mean we are nerds or babies, people have their own way of doing things and others are not always right. People sometimes are not fond of how we behave and to change that, and the first thing in their mind may be there is no other way than saying some bad stuff if the person himself is big and strong or frightful. In the story Meg has lots of other students like to tease her in a hectoring way. Personalities can be how a person acts and if they dislike you in the first place the one who is being jeered may need to be careful… Others are not always right, sometimes we need to analyze ourselves before accepting the wrong information. Sometimes we are just smart but we just did not perform it out yet. All and all, people sometimes mock us, all the jeering does not mean we are stupid.

No one’s perfect, we may be good at some things but not every possible thing. There will be something that we will not know. Being perfect is like never doing anything wrong and  knowing everything so every problem we have can be solved right away and no one can do that. In the story Meg is actually smart but she did not perform it out yet, and others are always mocking Meg in the story. All of the people are not perfect, if they are perfect then they will have an idea and do something. We may have some weaknesses but we have to accept it and move on. Sometimes we just want to know something but we haven't used it or expressed it so we don't really know that we have that skill yet but no matter what IQ we have there is no way that one can be perfect. Sometimes we need to respect our weakness and just move on because sometimes no matter what we do there is just on change.

Our family is always there to support us and help us. Our family is our closest people and we can always trust them. Family is where we are born and also where our parents are mostly at. In the story, Meg’s family is always helping each other and Meg’s mom helps cheer Meg up when Meg is upset. Our family can cheer each other up to do better because we usually love our families. When families cheer for us, there will be a good chance that we will do better. We usually do good in front of our family because we know that our family cares about us and they'll get mad or something if we don't do the right thing. Our family can help each other, but sometimes it is still our responsibility to help out instead of blaming our families that much.

The first chapter of the story Wrinkle in Time is a awesome story that talks about Meg who has super low and bad grades at school but actually Meg has a good IQ that is better than OK. It does tell us some scenes and lessons that we should know. First, if people bully us or mark us that doesn't mean that we are stupid, we don't have to always listen to others. Sometimes we have to make our own choices. Second, no one's perfect, when someone does something, they may have a skill at it, but there is just no way that one will have a skill on everything. Third, our family is always there to support us and cheer for us, this will help us do better and faster. This is surely worth reading stories that are great.
