Miss Franny is an old woman, she is very lonely, she has no friend to play in Naomi. She likes books very much and she wants to have a library and become a librarian when she is very small, and now she is old, and no one wants to play with her, she is lonely. Opal is new in Naomi, and she is lonely too, she has a new dog. We know dogs are not allowed in the library, but Miss Franny makes friends with Opal and lets the dog, Winn-Dixie stay in the library. She is afraid of bears, and she tells some stories about her to Opal, and they talk together many times. When Opal has some difficulty or some new things, they will talk with each other. She is lonely, but she doesn't want others to be lonely.
I like Miss Franny for many reasons, the first reason is that she likes books when she is very small. In that age, we likes playing toys, watching TV, or playing games much better but she likes books very much, and she wants to be a librarian when she is older, I very impress her because of her hobby. Every child is good at first, but when they sees games and TV, they will like these, they won’t like reading, studying or others, but she doesn’t, she likes books, she enjoys books, she make friends with books. I am very impressed on her. Like one of my classmate, lily, she likes reading very much at first, and she is very good at study, but now, she likes playing games better.
I like her not only because of hobby, I am very impressed her because that when she knows that Opal is very lonely in Naomi, and has no friend, she make friend with she and her dog, she is lonely but she doesn’t want another people to be lonely. We all want to have a better life and better things to use. Sometimes we will make others uncomfortable to make ourselves happy. We usually doesn’t thinks about others, but Miss Franny doesn’t want Opal to be lonely, be weakly in others eyes, she even let her dog go in the library, where no pets can go. She is a very good woman, she is lonely but she doesn’t want the kid Opal to be lonely.
Miss Franny gives trust to others. People won’t tell others, their family their problems to people that he or she knows only for a few days. But when Miss Franny meets Winn-Dixie and meets Opal, she is like a new mother, giving trust to Opal, and protecting her from seeming weak to others. That makes Opal trust her, she tell her many secrets and about her mother and family, she thinks Miss Franny is a people that she can trust and can help her, I very like this kind of people, because sometimes, you want others to trust you, but they will think you are bad or you can’t be trust or protect others. This kind of person will be impressed by many people.
In conclusion, in this story, there is a girl called Opal, but lost her mother, and lives with her dad, a preacher, and have a dog for pet, and that dog named Winn-Dixie lets her meet many people and makes friend to them, Winn-Dixie helped his owner be not lonely in Naomi, a new place to live. There are many people who like them, but I like Miss Franny best, because she likes books much better than playing games and watching TV. She very enjoys reading books, which is something that many people can’t do. And she thinks about others at first, and doesn’t want others to be the same as her, which is lonely and has no friends. And she give trust to other people. She impresses me most.
