Camouflage or Mimic?

Mimicry is when one organism looks or acts like an object or another organism. Background matching is perhaps the most common camouflage tactic. In background matching, a species conceals itself by resembling its surroundings in coloration, form, or movement. The primary difference is that, with mimicry, an organism copies another organism or part of an organism, while camouflage involves the copying of some part of the environment.

The 5 examples of camouflage are: Stick insect, Chameleon, Eastern screech owl, Goldenrod crab spider and Uroplatus phantasticus. Stick insects, as their name implies, are insects that have taken camouflage and imitation to the extreme by developing the appearance of a stick, leaf or twig. Chameleon, any of the proudest of primarily arboreal. Old World lizards are best known for their ability to change body color. Eastern screech owl in another master of disguise. Goldenrod crab spider has a bright yellow color that helps it match the flower, ultimately aiding its hunt for prey.

The 5 examples of mimicry are: Stick bug, Ladybird mimic beetle, dead leaf mantis, viceroy butterfly, katydid. Stick Insects are classified as the top order light-gap herbivores for climax forests, where they control net production of early successional plants. Ladybird beetles are natural enemies of aphids, insects that kill plants. Dead Leaf Mantis camouflage in order to protect themselves from predators and to ambush their prey. Viceroy butterfly uses a defense mechanism to escape predators. Katydids feed on insects, and also help pollinate some flowers.

If I could choose, I would like to have the capability of Camouflage. Firstly, camouflage could blend into the surroundings easily. I wanted to be more agile when I was finding prey. Secondly, camouflage wouldn’t limit the activity of a predator, it could take action to catch the prey. When the prey didn’t see me I would fast and quietly go to the prey’s back. Then suddenly jump into the air and catch the prey quickly. Last but not the least, it could adapt to broader environments.

The animals need to be protected. But no one could protect them so they need to be a camouflage or a mimic to protect themselves. The animals need protection to survive. They need to survive to stay alive. I thought humans needed to start helping the animals. For example, stop killing animals, make a protection area for the animals, and take good care of the animals. We need to do out beast to protect the animals.
