The Good Witch of the North told her that her house had killed the Wicked Witch of the East. She gave her a pair of magical slippers and set off to find the Wizard of Oz, who could send her home. Along the way, Dorothy met Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion; they set out together to Oz and get what they desired. When they arrived at the Emerald City, the Wizard told them to destroy the Wicked Witch of the West, and then he would fulfill their wishes. Dorothy defeated the witch by pouring water on her. When they returned, they discovered that Oz was a humbug. He told them to go to Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, for help. They discovered that she only had to use the slippers, and she was home.

While evil is hate, and hate is like a fire that dies down quickly if someone controls it. In the story, Dorothy and her friends defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy is kind and loyal, she is good, while the Witch is dark and evil. Dorothy is smart, and kind. She and her friends defeat the Witch because she is on the wrong side and makes many bad choices, while Dorothy makes many right choices and always stands on the right side no matter what. The fire and rage inside a person can make them evil, but the good always wins them because they are calm and think straight.
True friendship is built on trust, loyalty, and support, friends face challenges together and stick together no matter what, in fact, their bond can be so strong that they can be considered family. Friends have a strong relationship; they rely on each other without a doubt. Friends stand together in hard times; they are committed together. They also support each other, just like a second family, no matter if they are just friends or relatives, their bond allows them to stay close, just like a family, they trust and are loyal to each other, and they give each other comfort.
