Once there was a prince called Prince Brat. One night he played a trick while the king was having a feast. When the king found out he called for the whipping boy, Jeremy, and hit him twenty times to make the Prince remember not to play tricks. The prince also didn’t learn anything, but Jeremy learned everything he need to know. Once the boys went out by their own and was caught by cutthroats. They escape the cutthroats. During this escape they made two friends. In the end the two boys went back to the castle. The prince’s attitude also changed, this is because he finally knew what Jeremy felt when Jeremy was being whipped.
If we don’t behave well while we are learning then we will not learn anything. We will also regret that we didn’t learn anything afterwards. In the story the prince can’t write so, the message for the king was written by Jeremy. After that Jeremy knew that he would be in danger. The prince can’t write so Jeremy wrote the massage, but this way Jeremy will be punished by the king and maybe scrage Jeremy. If we learned nothing then someone who helped us might get into danger like in the story.
We shouldn’t let someone be hurt because of us. If we stand on the side of the person who is always hurt because of us we will find that actually that person might gradually dislike us. In the story all the people hate the prince and Jeremy said that at first he hate prince. Getting someone hurt because of us may make that person hate us. So we should not let others pay for the mistake we made.
In some palaces whipping boys are not an effective way to discipline royalty. Some prince might be encouraged to do something bad because they know that they have nothing to fear. In the story every time after Jeremy was hit the prince behaved very badly because he won’t be hurt. The prince never learned his lesson so that Jeremy will get whipped for many times in a day. Some prince never learn the lesson and correct their mistakes so, their whipping boy will suffer great pain.
In conclusion, we know that we should behave well when we are learning so that we don’t need to have someone do something for us that is very dangerous. Also we can’t let someone be hurt because of us. If someone did get hurt because of us then we might be no more than princes or princesses ourselves and that someone might be no more than our very own whipping boy. If that person got hurt many times because of us then we will be just like some of the princes or princesses that don’t learn their lessons.
