The story “The Cricket in Times Square” is a fabulous story written by Grah Williams. It talks about a mouse named Mario who one day finds a cricket and wants to bring it one but can’t. Mario’s mother decides that he can keep the cricket, but the only condition is that it has to stay outside and if any more new crickets ever show up the cricket will have to go. The cricket did cause some problems, like accidentally eating a two dollar bill and almost lighting the house on fire, but the cricket can make perfect music which made Mario’s mom decide that the cricket is worth it to stay.
Friendship is a simpler and special relationship between two or more people who care about each other and enjoy spending time together. It is a great way to make and strengthen trust, respect, and support from others, even a person who might not be friends for family. Friends help each other and only unspecial and false friendships will leave you out to deal with a problem. In the story, Chester and Mario and Tucker are friends, they help each other and even use their life savings of money just for them. Having a friend means the two for more will stick together and usually can help each other when in need but false friends will only stay with you because you have something, and if you lose that thing they will break-up with you. Good friends are one who help each other and work together.
One can own lots of houses but there can only be one home, where your heart, love and where your family lives and socialize and there is the only place you can have the sense of belonging. On a trip, there can be a lot of things a person can see and visit, there are many houses and hotels but you never know when you will feel the sense of belonging and want to stay. In the story, Chester decides to stay for a while, but he does and gets homesick a little but gets over it when he attracts attention from people. One will probably just stay in a hotel or some vacation home, there are a lot and after seeing all these places, you will want to stay somewhere back home or the new place. If you like your new place, then that means you found yourself a new home and where you can live that is also called having a sense of belonging. It makes sense, a sense of belonging, you think you belong there so your home should be there, you love, heart is where you live and belong, the true home.
Understanding and accepting can separate people’s differences and can build trust and credit from anyone. It can help with new people such as neighbors or new friends. You might not know much but understanding is almost always required to decide whenever to accept something like staying. In the story, Chester does not understand his surroundings and where he is but he does find new friends and get a new place to live in. He gets familiar with his surroundings so he decides to accept and stay. People can get into fights and accept whenever to settle the fight or fight back, which is a hard choice but settling it and understanding others can help us and that can give us the ability to help them back and settle the argument. Understanding and accepting is something everyone needs to do in life, if you understand you might be able to help and if you understand others, you can build trust and get credit for good later use.
Music has the power to impact our emotions, thoughts, and bodies, it can also help us connect with others. Music is powerful, its tune can affect and make people feel feelings and it sometimes can also make one go happy, cheerful and excited, or it can even make one feel angry or sad. High tunes usually make one feel happy, while low ones usually make one sad. In the story, Chester can make good music and sometimes it is cheerful and sometimes it is sad. He also performs in concerts and helps a lot of people to socialize. It can remind us of times in our life’s, such as playing on the swing happily, or falling off the swings into a lake angrily and sadly. People sometimes like the same music, and that can socialize people together, or a concert with hundreds of people together. Music is so powerful that it can socialize hundreds to even millions of people together while giving people a different feeling for every tune.
This is a caring story that talks about a cricket who gets sent to New York unexpectedly and causes some trouble but makes brilliant music so he is able to stay. This story also tells us some useful information: first, Good friends are one who help each other and work together, they support and care for each other. Second, Home is where the heart is, our family may be at home. We can be cozy in the bed snoring or we can drink coke while reading a nice book. Third, understanding and accepting can separate people’s differences and can build trust and credit from anyone. Last but not least, Music is powerful, its tune can affect and make people feel feelings. It can also socialize people together. This is an excellent story that is very worth reading.
