Book Review of Stone Soup

Three monks had set out for a visit in a small village below a mountain. The village had faced many threats, causing the village to lose their happiness. When that happened, the monks started making stone soup in the village. After that, the villagers came near the pot. When the monks needed something, the villages would take everything the monks asked and dump it into the pot. Then, they had a feast with many foods, and when the monks had to leave, the villagers appreciated that the monks had helped them to get the ability of happiness.

Happiness comes from giving, sharing and enjoying with others. These actions affect all of us and spread happiness to others. The monks showed the villagers how to be happy by making stone soup, and while they made it, the villagers rushed to give their food so that they all could have a feast that they could all enjoy. Happiness is an enjoyable yet wonderful emotion to experience. When we have happiness, we are caring for others and like to be around them.

Patience, inspiration and kindness are more effective ways of teaching. These habits of teaching are a very satisfying technique because it draws people's attention, it makes people feel good and people will enjoy the lesson we are teaching. The monks were very uncomplaining because even though the villagers needed time to learn happiness, they remained positive. Also, the monks are not boring by using inspiring ways, they showed the villagers how to make stone soup instead of just teaching them about happiness. These methods should be the way teachers teach. The monks' approach to teaching is very effective.

Everyone can benefit if we all contribute. When we all give for others and others give for us, we would try new things, make one great object from the many objects or we make friends with others that are contributing. The villagers decided to grab one thing and head back to the pot and dump it, then they all had a wonderful feast. If everyone learns how to contribute, we could all use some of our belongings and share it to make one of the greatest benefits anyone has ever had. If everyone contributes, it makes a good benefit.

Stone soup is a famous recipe originated from a person named Ann Mcgovern and is still enjoyed by Mexicans today. The book about stone soup teaches us how to give, share and enjoy with others. The monks made stone soup and taught the villagers to be happy. Patience, inspiration and kindness helped the villagers to learn about happiness. Everyone can benefit from contributing because it makes greater things.
