“Sarah, Plain and Tall” is a children's book written by Patricia MacLachlan. It tells the story of a family who, after the mother's death, the children Anna and Caleb, along with their father Jacob, long for a new mother. Jacob advertises in the newspaper and Sarah from Maine responds. They meet, fall in love, and eventually marry, bringing new warmth and love into the family.

Loneliness is a common emotional state in modern society. We often feel lonely for various reasons. In the story, after Mama’s death, Papa stops singing because this is a habit shared with Mama, Anna and Caleb feel lonely because they lost Mama’s company. So this family longs for a new mother to bring the happy and take away loneliness. When I feel lonely, I will swim, read, and listen to music. So loneliness isn't horrible, we need to find the correct solutions to conquer loneliness.

Home is where the heart is. Home can provide us the warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging. In the story, Sarah's brother's marriage prompts her to seek her own home. So she wants to find a home where can settle her heart. She comes to Witting’s home, and across a series of tries and communication, Sarah and this family begin to form a new bond. Sarah's kindness helps to ease their loneliness and Witting's family gives Sarah a sense of home. Sarah's heart wants to stay here. Everyone longs for love, warmth, and belonging. So the place where your heart truly belongs and longs is home.

When the family changes, we may not have control over these changes. But our life will continue to move forward. In the story, Sarah's brother's marriage prompts her to seek her own home. when she looks at the ad. in the newspaper, she bravely replies and tries. Lastly, Sarah joined Witting’s family and found her own home. Jacob and his children accept and adapt to this new change in the family. Sarah brings love and hope back into their lives. While life may be uncontrolled and challenging, it is also full of possibilities and opportunities. So we should keep moving forward, as the future holds greater promise than the past.

In conclusion, I love this story because it teaches me many things. First, loneliness isn't horrible, we need to find the correct solutions to conquer loneliness. Second, home is where the heart is. Last, when the family changes, we may not have control over these changes. But our life will continue to move forward. We should keep moving forward, as the future holds greater promise than the past. You can read it, I think you will get many thoughts.
