Peppe The Lamplighter is written by Elisa Bartone, it talks about a boy called Peppe. Peppe
was finding a job to make money. He went to 5 shops and just found 1 job. But his dad was
ashamed of his job so one day Peppe stopped at this work. But finally, his dad was happy with Peppe’s work.
I like Peppe that he has a little promise for tomorrow, he wishes for others. I also like his
patience. When he lights the lamps, he is not scared, instead, he makes wishes. He is a boy who has hope. We need hope in our life.
In the story, Peppe did not give up, he went to 5 stores, but just found one job. This reminds me of a little story. I am often kept after class by teacher, this means that I can’t go home until I finish my homework. The homework is hard, but I just keep writing, finally I am finished then I can go home.
There is a problem which is his dad is ashamed of Peppe’s work so one day Peppe stops at
his work. The streets have not light. Just then, Papa realized he has a problem so from now on Peppe will continue his good job. Once I was doing a test, my friend said that I definitely can’t do it, but I just ignored them, after the test, I found out that I got an A+. When having a problem, just solve it.
The book Peppe the lamplighter is a good book about a lamplighter. If I am Peppy, I’ll be
happy at my job because it will bring bright to people. I will say: How good. Dad found he has a problem that we need to think before we are about to say anything, if don’t know what to say, don’t say it. Peppe the lamplighter also tells us about don’t easily give up on something. When facing a hard problem, use your knowledge to solve it. If you are failed, just use another solution to solve it. At last, you can do it.
