Characters: Head, two Arms, Body, and Legs

Setting:  on the ground

Plot: Head normally eats grass, but one day he wants to eat cherries, so he rolled and knocked some cherries off. Then he meets arms. Head suggests that arms can connect to head and arms agree.

Genre: Folk Tale

The story of Head, Arms and Legs retold by Won-Ldy Paye and Margaret H.Lippert talks about Head was all by himself. He rolled everywhere. All he could eat were things on the ground that he could reach with his tongue. One morning Head woke up and thought, “I wish I could reach those cherries." Then he rolled down a hill and heard a sound. It was not him. And he asked how it was. A sound said “We are Arms”. But Arms could not see. Head suggested Arms what if they connect together. They help Head pick up things and Head helps them see. Arms agreed. Then they meet Body. Head then suggested Body to come and Body agreed too. Body would help them swim. Then they wanted mangoes, but they were too high. Legs came to help and finally, they turned into a human form. 

Everyone has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some disadvantages can be avoided by learning, but not all disadvantages can be corrected. Everyone is different. We don't laugh at other people's disadvantages, and don't be heartbroken by our own disadvantages. In the story,  Arms cannot see but he can pick things with their hands. Head cannot pick things and Head can see with his eyes. Body cannot see but Body can swim in the water. No one is the same. They all have different things that they are good at.  Nobody in the world is perfect. Everyone is different. 

We have to cooperate together. If there is a group of people and another group of people and we add them together and work together, we will have a fantastic result. We have to cooperate together and we would be good. Just like in the story, Head doesn't want to eat the grass anymore and he wants to eat the cherries on the tree. But he cannot reach the cherry by himself. Arms came and they helped Head to reach it. Body helped Head and Arms to swim. Head helped Body and Arms to see. And they are all connected. Everyone cooperated and they got what they wanted.

We have to make a very good invitation for others every time. When Head invites others to his group, he always tells the advantages of both of them. In the story, Head always mentions his advantages first then the others. He always shows others the goodness of working together as a group. At the end, everyone came to his group and helped him get what he wanted. The people in the group also got what they wanted. If we don’t make a good invitation for others, then they will not come.
