Book Review of Charlotte’ Web

The book of Charlotte’s Web is written by E.B. White. The story begins when Wilbur was born. When Fern heard the news that her father was about to kill the baby pig, she begged her father for nursing the baby pig. Her father agreed. When the pig was big, he was moved to Mr. Zuckerman’s barn to live. There he met Charlotte, who helped him in the danger of killing him. When Charlotte died, Wilbur took her egg sac and put it in a safe corner in the barn until it hatched. He was very grateful and pledged his friendship and loyalty.

Friendship plays an important part in our life, it is just like a timely rain falling on dry land. Fern saves Wilbur when her father wants to kill him. She also took care of Wilbur. Charlotte helped Wilbur to prevent him from being killed by Mr. Zuckerman. True friendship is when your friend is in need, you will help him or her without asking for any reward. Both Fern and Charlotte didn’t ask for any reward, they just helped Wilbur. Friendship is a very crucial role in our life.

Loyalty is a basic element between you and your friend. If you don’t have loyalty to your friend, you will be abandoned by your friend. When the egg sac hatched, most of the little spiders just flew away, but two or three stayed housekeeping the doorway. Wilbur pledged his friendship to Charlotte’s children. The three little spiders also pledged their faith and loyalty to Charlotte that they would always be loyal to Wilbur. Loyalty can make friendships stronger and forever.

Death is a very sad thing, but life is continuing. After laying eggs, Charlotte died. But her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren became Wilbur’s friends. Wilbur was not alone and he continued to pledge his friendship to Charlotte’s generations. The friendship between Wilbur and Charlotte was continuing. Life death does not mean friendship death.

Friendship, loyalty and death are all important themes. But for me, I think friendship is the most important one. A life without friendship is like a paper with no writing, you will feel very lonely and no fun. Nobody can live a life without any friends. I recommend you to read this book and I believe that you will also be touched by the friendship between Charlotte and Wilbur.
