Book Review of Because of Winn-Dixie

The Book Because of Winn-Dixie written by Opal is new in Floria Naomi, and when he goes to the grocery store, he finds a dog that is messing the store, and then, he has a dog, Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie helps Opal meet many new friends in a new place, he meets the worker in getrude’s pet Otis, the librarian Miss Franny, Gloria, Sweetie, Amanda, then, Opal wants to have a party, he invites all of his friends to go to Gloria’s home to have the party. But then, Winn-Dixie was missing, and he and the preacher looked for Winn- Dixie. But they couldn’t find him, so they are sticking the poster of Winn Dixie to let the people know him, and help him find his dog. And last, Otis finds the dog under the seat. 


Everyone will be lonely, but it is OK; people around you will make you feel better. When you are new in school, or city, or one of your family members died, you don’t have friends to play around with or other. It will make you feel lonely. But don’t worry, your family or friend or your pet will make you feel better by talking to you, hugging you, licking you and doing some happy things together to make you feel better. In the story, Opal and the preacher miss Opal’s mom, Amanda miss her brother, Miss Franny doesn’t have a friend around. Otis is a prisoner, Gloria is regarded to be a witch. All of them are lonely, but people around them help them feel better. Loneliness is not scary, everyone will feel lonely, people will help you. 


People will abandon you for several reasons, and you can’t control, but don’t self abandon, keep on going, don’t give up. People will leave you to go for some important things, and they will go away from you to have their lives, this is not what you can control, but don’t self abandon, trust yourself, try your best is the best of the best, when you find you are very sad, or can’t do something good, don’t be angry, if you can try and practice, you will be better. In the story Amanda self-abandon, her brother died, and she thinks she can’t do nothing, but, she can try, and find friends and be better, but, she self abandons. Amanda doesn’t abandon anyone, she self abandons. We aren't scared of abandonment by someone, self abandon is the only enemy. 


Sometimes, we have to let go of something. Anypeople will want to go, pets will want to play, all of the things will want to be free, don’t let them do anything you want. If you let it go, it will play happily and maybe will not come back, but let it go, it will find its new home, new life, and new happy way. In the story, Opal and the preacher should let her mother go away in their mind, they are thinking when will her mother come back. And Amanda, let go of your brother, don’t always remember him. Otis, you're a criminal in the past, but let go of your past, don’t remember them at every time in your life, in the past you're a criminal, but be a good person now. The people remember the sad things, they should let it go. People need freedom, let them go. 



In conclusion, this story tells us many things in a small story. There is a girl that is new in the city, and meeting a dog that is messy, and has it as a pet, and the dog takes her to meet new friends to play, and they talk with her everyday after school, and she makes a party and invites all of her friends to go to Gloria’s backyard, but it suddenly rain, and Winn-Dixie is lost, they can’t find him, but at last, Otis finds him under the chair.  Everyone will be lonely, but it is OK, people around you will make you feel better. Sometimes, we have to let go of something. People will abandon you for several reasons, and you can’t control them, but don’t self abandon, keep on going, don’t give up. This book is very good, read it.
