This story Splash Splash, Animal Baths is written by April Pulley Sayre and it talks about animals taking baths. I learned that different animals take different baths. Some animals take baths by themselves and some animals take baths with the help of others. Some animals can get a meal by helping others. I learned three things in this story.

First I learned that two animals working together can make what they want. One animal can exchange some things and help others. In the story oxpeckers help giraffes by pecking the ticks away while giraffes help oxpeckers by giving them a meal. Both animals get what they want. It’s good to work together to make what we want.

Next, animals like to be clean just like us. They have many ways to take baths. In the story the author says there are many ways to take baths. The elephant sprays water on its back and pigs toll in the mud. Animals have more ways of taking baths than people.

Last, we need to protect nature. Because nature is very important to the animals. If there are no trees then the lions can’t scratch their backs. And some animals’ homes will be destroyed. People need to protect nature and animals.

I learned many things in this book. First I learned that animals can work together and make what they want. Next I learned that there are many ways to take baths for animals. Lastly, I learned that we need to protect nature. I like this book, do you like it?
