About Family Influence

Family plays an important part in your life. They will shape your personality and guide your actions. In the pigman and me, Paul doesn't know the rules and has to fight with John for his mistake but nono Frankie teaches him how to fight later on and then his sister saves him. In the goodness of matt kaizer, Matt is a struggling boy with a lot of pressure on him as the son of a respected man but after meeting an ill grandfather, he gets better. In TA-NA-E-KA, Mary and her brother Roger have to go through a survival test but while Roger lives off the land, Mary uses her knowledge of modern civilization to buy her own food. At the end, the grandfather realizes how much has changed and is proud of both of them. Family is very important in our daily lives, especially our parents. They will bring a positive influence towards you through care, support, and understanding.

Family members support each other through love, understanding and mutual care. They understand each other and can find out each other's problem and help them solve it. In the pigman and me, nono frankie is Paul’s grandfather and is very wise so he teaches Paul how to fight so he can stand up for himself. Nono Frankie realized how Paul was acting up so he helped him. Even though Paul knows how to fight, he is still about to get beat up when his sister comes up and saves him. Family members know when each other needs their help. In the goodness of matt kaizer, Matt's father is patient but persistent about trying to turn Matt into a “good” boy and looking out for him. Matt's father understands Matt enough to give him time and not rush him. In TA-NA-E-KA, Mary’s mom shows her understanding of the survival test by talking about her own experience which makes Mary feel better and not as nervous. Family members support each other not just with affection, but also by paying  attention, commuting and problem-solving together as a unit.

Families have the profound ability to positively influence each other through understanding and support. When you are in trouble or a difficult situation, they will help you to find your own way to solve it so that you will benefit from your personal growth. In the pigman and me, Paul's sister made it so that no one would ever bully Paul ever again because she had beaten the moose in front of the whole school. Family members know each other the best so they know when to come in and save you. In the goodness of matt kaizer, Matt uses his knowledge of bringing flowers to patients that he learned from his mother to visit his friend. Family members learn from each other so they can use this skill later on. In TA-NA-E-KA, Mary learned to defend her tradition from her family, especially her grandfather and she used this against the restaurant owner who thought the tradition was unusual. Family members might have a common way of thinking that could rub off on others who disagree. Everyone that is part of a family can help each other so that everyone gets better and learns from everyone else. Meanwhile, with compassion and cooperation, families will help to nurture and find the great potential in each individual through overcoming challenges.

Family members have deep insights of your behaviors and motivations so they can have creative ways to guard you or help you through difficulties. They know your minds  and ways of acting so then they can come up with a plan that works skillfully. In the Pigman and me, Nono Frankie talked to Paul face to face so he didn’t get bored and this allowed him to actually teach him some fighting moves. Family members know others' personalities and they can use it to help them. In the goodness of Matt Kaizer, the father knew that trying to persuade Matt to go back would no longer work so he used Matts never put down a dare trick against him and Make him go back which helped Matt in the end. Family members know how to use other people's tricks against them to help them achieve greater things. In TA-NA-E-KA, grandfather used Mary’s own way of explaining things to tell her that he didn’t really do the test the right way either, like Mary. Family members use others' way of interacting to get each other to understand their point of view. They know you well enough to use  creative tricks against you and to help you get better.

Families play a crucial part in your life and can greatly affect you. They know each other best and can help each other positively. All these stories show that when you have a problem, your family member can easily find out what it is and help you even if you don’t appreciate it at first, you will at the end. Sometimes, you may even feel the opposite and against it, but it will turn out good like always. Family members can help each other gain potential through support and care which will increase their inner strengths. When you feel that your peers are being negative towards you and you are second guessing your actions, your family members will come in and help you out. When you start growing up, you may face many obstacles and problems but then, your family can help you out by giving you support and love so you can move on.
